Once Human 2.3.6 Update: Bug Fixes, Formula Corrections, and Territory Compensation
Once Human update 2.3.6 fixes territory boundary bugs and clarifies gardening tool effects, improving gameplay for Metas players.
The Once Human development team has released a new round of fixes and clarifications for version 2.3.6, tackling everything from gardening tool descriptions to territory boundary headaches. In a community-focused update published in 2026, the team thanked Metas for their reports and stressed that player feedback is being used to shape the next wave of improvements. Anyone who still runs into trouble can submit a ticket in-game or send an email to the official support address [email protected].

One of the biggest points of confusion involved the Gardener’s new formula Gardening Shears. The initial 2.3.6 announcement claimed that gathering from trees and shrubs would double collection effects. The team now says that was a mistake. The corrected text reads: when you gather from crops and shrubs, the collection effect is doubled. In plain terms, the shears are better suited for players who need ingredients rather than pioneers chasing massive wood and Plant Fiber stockpiles. The development team apologized and promised stricter announcement wording in the future.
On mobile, some players could not close a pop-up window while switching Fashion sets, and that issue has been fixed. The team also repaired two crafting formulas that did not match their intended effects. Load Handling now reduces ore and wood weight by 80% when players select Gold Ore. The Whimsical Drink recipe has been adjusted to the following:
| Item | Fixed Behavior or Recipe |
| Load Handling | Select Gold Ore to cut ore and wood weight by 80% |
| Whimsical Drink | Deviated Herb ×1 + Sugar ×1 + Cactus ×3 / Snow Fungus ×3 + Ice Cube ×2 |
Several scenario and event bugs were also squashed. Rosetta Heavy and the Mother of Life now have normal spawn rates in the RaidZone Scenario. The Public Crisis Event Where Does Disco Go? now correctly applies hero and lore upgrades. The team also fixed an issue where items stored in a microwave would automatically move to the Territory Vault after moving the Territory. On Eternaland, the button to claim Tech point reset compensation mail has been disabled, and players should claim it normally within the Season Scenario instead. Players who already claimed the mail but did not receive the correct compensation will receive a follow-up distribution.
A few visual and progression fixes were included as well. Some character models that turned black due to an engine problem should now display properly. In the Prismverse’s Clash scenario, exclusive tech tree pages no longer display incorrect techs.
The most impactful correction involved Territory block boundaries. The 2.3.6 update accidentally changed the boundaries, leaving some Territories outside designated areas. The team quickly deployed a fix to revert the changes. The developers admitted the adjustment severely impacted the player experience and sent compensation to all Metas via in-game mail. The whole mess was a classic case of a well-meaning change going sideways. Players were understandably scratching their heads when their bases suddenly ended up in the wrong spot, but the team has now hit the undo button.
Beyond the headline fixes, the update resolved a long list of smaller issues:
-
Adjusted the types of items produced by some Deviations.
-
Fixed an issue where, after creating a new character with an existing account, the secondary server selection interface displayed abnormally upon first entry.
-
Fixed the Tech interface occasionally opening as empty.
-
Fixed the Portable MG Turret Tech Formula occasionally displaying incorrectly and being impossible to craft within the Tech page.
-
Added a prompt for expired facilities.
-
Reduced overly dense fog effects in some areas that limited visibility.
-
Fixed newly added sleeping bag respawn points in Custom Server RaidZones that were not functioning.
-
Fixed Wakeful Clocks that could not be gathered.
-
Fixed an issue on Custom Servers where shooting remained disabled after the Server Host re-enabled it.
-
Fixed abnormal enemy respawn probability when using an advanced Recycling tool to recycle facilities.
-
Fixed the Storage Crate interface failing to identify expired items.
-
Fixed Reverse Engineering not unlocking Tech for some players.
-
Fixed cultural artifacts weapons with the Calibrated attribute not being successfully Reverse Engineered. These weapons can now be reverse engineered normally to obtain Tech/Tech Points and the corresponding Calibrated blueprint.
Players who encounter any other issues can report them through the in-game Support and Feedback menu. On PC, press ESC, then open Support and Feedback and choose Submit Suggestion. On mobile, open the left-side map menu, tap the headphones icon at bottom right, then go to Suggestions and Submit Suggestion. The team also accepts reports through the official email address [email protected] and said it will investigate messages as soon as they arrive.
Data referenced from SteamDB helps contextualize how fast-moving live-service patches like Once Human 2.3.6 can ripple through the player base, since platform-level activity and update cadence often mirror moments when bug-fix notes (like corrected Gardening Shears wording, territory boundary rollbacks, and recipe tweaks) drive players to log in to verify changes, claim compensation mail, and re-test affected systems.
